Why compress video by target size
A quality slider cannot tell you whether the result will actually send.
You name the size, not a guess
Most compressors give you a quality percentage and leave you to re-export until the file finally fits. Here you compress video by naming the size: the bitrate is calculated from your number and the video's duration, so the first attempt lands.
Resolution drops with the bitrate

How do I compress a video to 25MB?
Add your video, choose the 25MB preset, then select Compress Video. The target bitrate is calculated from 25MB divided by your video's duration, and the resolution is adjusted to suit that bitrate, so the output lands at or just under the target.
Why did my resolution change?
Because the bitrate could not support the original size. A ten-minute video squeezed into 25MB has roughly 220kbps to work with, which looks like blocky mush at 1080p but perfectly acceptable at 240p. You can override this under Resolution if you would rather keep the original size.
What size do I need for Discord, email or WhatsApp?
Discord's free tier and most email providers accept 25MB. WhatsApp caps video at 16MB. Discord Nitro raises the limit to 50MB or more. Use the presets, or type a custom number if your platform differs.
Is there a file size limit?
No. Your video is never uploaded, so there is no bandwidth cost and no server-side cap. The practical limit is your own device's memory.
Can I make the file smaller without losing quality?
Not meaningfully. Compression works by discarding information, so a smaller file always means less detail. What this tool does is spend the bits where they matter: lowering resolution rather than leaving a starved high-resolution image full of blocking artefacts.
Why is my output WebM instead of MP4?
H.264 encoding depends on your browser. Firefox and some Linux builds do not provide it, so the compressor falls back to WebM with VP9, which plays everywhere except older Safari.
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. Decoding and re-encoding both run on your own device, which is exactly why there is no size limit here.
